Ceea ce vedeți scris pe cardurile de memorie SD garantează viteza minimă garantată la scriere pe respectivele carduri.
Deci un card din clasa 2 va avea un transfer de minim 2MB/secundă. Unul din clasa 4 va avea minim 4MB/secundă iar unul din clasa 6 va avea minim 6MB/secundă.
Atunci când vă cumpărați o cameră video HD, va trebui să luați în calcul bitrate-ul la care va scrie respectiva cameră. În cazul meu, un Sanyo HD700, scrie un Overall bit rate: 9184 Kbps (Video + Audio).
Matematica între MB și Mbps spune că 9184Kbps (adică ~8.97Mbps) reprezintă de fapt 1,12MB/s.
[1Mbps = 1024 Kbps & 1MB = 8Mbps]
Deci pentru mine un card ce satisface exigențele class 2 ar fi suficient.
Dar pentru noile camere HD (care scriu la un bitrate de peste 2000Mbps) un card class 2 ar fi prea puțin pentru o scriere fluidă.
În plus, avantajul cardurilor class 6 momentan ar fi o viteză sporită la transferul către calculator și future proof. 
P.S. Eu folosesc un SanDisk Ultra II Class (4) de 8GB.

I always buy Kingston cards and I love them. I was loinokg forward to not having to deal with the horrible blister pack and I didn't.Here's the problem: instead of the standard plastic card box in an easy to open package what I got was a flimsy thin-plastic box that I wouldn't trust to protect this expensive card, nor to survive being opened and closed more than about 10 times. It also took me a long time to figure out how to open the box, but maybe I'm just slow Adding insult to injury the box came in slim cardboard mailer but, probably because of the flimsiness mentioned above, the mailer was in a 10 x 12 x 4 box with lots of plastic pillows. All this for a tiny SDHC card. What a waste. Next time I'll just use the old Black Decker electric scissors on the blister pack.
Good one. Eu nu mi-am batut capul cu tipuri de carduri de memorie, pana nu mi-a zis un tip cand mi-am cumparat o camera foto "bai, cu cel mai ieftin card, chit ca e de 4gb, o sa ti se miste ca o caruta... merita sa dai un ban in plus, ca se simte".
